Tarsus  Commodity Exchange celebrated its 72nd anniversary of its establishment this year, hosted by Tarsus University, its 100th anniversary. The "Our Stars in 100. Year" award ceremony climaxed with the speeches of Protocol Expert İhsan Ataöv, known as "Mr. Protocol".

The program, which started with the presentation of Tarsus Commodity Exchange Executive Assistant Ezgi Fındık Güngör at the University Conference Hall, continued with a moment of silence and the singing of our National Anthem.

Mustafa Teke, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tarsus Commodity Exchange, in his speech at the opening of the program, stated that Tarsus produces, develops and grows and said, "Turkey is changing, the world is changing. We need to change too. We need to be in constant change to provide better service to our future. With the projects we carried out, we fivefolded the number of our exporter members and increased our export figures 10-fold. We came first in Türkiye in the TOBB accreditation system. "We became the 'Green Stock Market' by establishing the 350 kW Solar Energy System," he said.

Teke, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Stock Exchange, underlined that the tax amount paid by the members of Tarsus Commodity Exchange along with the registration fee in the last 3 years was too high and said, "44 percent of the total accrued tax in Tarsus district was brought to our state.

This success is proof that we are on the right track. That's why each of our members who contribute to the formal economy is a star for us. "We will work with greater determination for our country and nation and carry Turkey to its great goals together," he said.

Tarsus Commodity Exchange Assembly Chairman Murat Kaya wished that Ramadan, the sultan of 11 months, would bring goodness to the entire Islamic geography, especially our country.

Parliament Speaker Murat Kaya stated that Tarsus is the most productive and largest district of the province.

“Tarsus is a locomotive city with its agricultural power, having 1 million decares of the 3 million decares of agricultural land in its province. I would like to point out that every company that produces, invests, exports and provides employment is a star and deserves an award. Currently, the agricultural sector has become one of the most strategic sectors in the world. It was also clearly seen during the pandemic process. "Just as energy, space technologies, defense industry and similar sectors are now important for countries, agriculture and food resources have become equally important or even more important," he said. 

Stock Exchange Assembly President Murat Kaya also gave information to the participants about the projects offered to its members, especially Licensed Warehouses.
District Governor Mehmet Ali Akyüz, who attended the 72nd anniversary celebrations of Tarsus Commodity Exchange, stated in his speech that during the coronavirus epidemic, the business world emphasized the importance of agricultural production in this crisis and that humanity had to produce to live. 

District Governor Akyüz stated that he follows the work of Tarsus Commodity Exchange closely.
